Welcome to our website and our school!

We are a busy , friendly and popular school in the middle of the village of Todwick, South Yorkshire. We are situated close to major road links such as the M1,M18 and A57 but this is a peaceful, rural village.

We take pride in our school and the children in it and strive to achieve our best in everything we do. Our children enjoy wide and diverse opportunities, both within and outside the National Curriculum. We have a strong commitment to first hand experience so that children’s learning takes place in a meaningful context. All of our children are known, valued and respected as individuals, and our teaching and learning takes full account of individual interests, experiences and approaches to learning. We currently hold the Basic Skills Quality Mark, Activemark and Healthy School accreditation, we are working towards the Artsmark Award.

It is our aim, in partnership with parents, to help our children enjoy their time at Primary School, be happy, feel secure and achieve the very best they can. We promote high standards whilst fostering creativity and imagination. We encourage the children to be self-motivated learners and develop personally and socially.

We have a dedicated team of school governors who work alongside the staff to take the school forward. We also have a very supportive parents group who, through ‘Todwick Parents in Action’, support the school with fund raising and social activities.

We work closely with Todwick Early Years, the private nursery that shares our site. They provide before and after school care and other services that working parents find useful.
