Thursday 4th March - World Book Day (photos below)
Our school took the opportunity to celebrate our love of reading in Book Week. David Hague came in to tell stories to each class and the Hall had lots of interesting and exciting activities based on books. The week ended with children dressing up as their favourite book characters and a Celebration Assembly to which parents were invited - A FANTASTIC TIME was had by all. A big thankyou to all parents who came in to help and enjoy the fun!
Take a look below at the fun we had and our competition winners

16th November - A Cultural Experience
Rimas from Kenya and Maxwell from Ghana came to our school to show us some of the traditional skills from their countries, to tell us traditional stories and give us an insight into their cultures.
Maxwell led a drumming workshop and told us how Ghana is the centre of the world for chocolate production.
Rimas showed us how the Masai people do traditional beadwork. Class 5 have now got a link with a school in Ghana, so keep checking the website for news of our new friends!
